Alif2.fr: Coins of the Taifas Almohades
(625-897 A.H. / 1228-1492 A.D.)
The Taifas Almohades are the different kingdoms that have existed in Spain from the beginning of the decline of the Almohads and then their capitulation. These kingdoms were successively conquiered by the Christian rulers during the Reconquista. The Nasrids of Granada were the last Islamic kingdom in Spain until 897 A.H. / 1492 A.D.

The following coins may be attributed to the rebel Abul al `Abbas Ahmad al Yanasti (630-835 A.H. / 1232-1238 A.D.)
or to the Hudid (of Murcia) Al Mutawakkil Muhammad when he occupied Sebta (in 630 A.H.).
The same type coin can be found with the mint of Murcia (Hohertz 699).
However, Hohertz notices that both rulers have struck round coins and another attribution is possible (see (Hohertz) p. 105).
